Ville Valo

is the front man, lead singer and songwriter for the Finnish alternative rock band, HIM. HIM is the first Finnish band to receive a gold record in the United States and to date, the band has sold more than five and a half million albums worldwide.




Ville is also the creator of the Heartagram, which is an intertwined heart and pentagram, and is the symbol for HIM. Often misunderstood, the Heartagram symbolizes the different aspects of love, and is seen emblazoned on the shirts and jackets of HIM fans worldwide.

Last year, Ville provided the voice of Moto Moto, the amorous hippo in the Finnish version of Disney's Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa.
